Thank you for shopping with us!
South Planks is an independent, family owned business. When you shop with us, you are supporting British manufacturers, Artisans, Recycled product ranges and much more!
We do our very best to provide customers with everything they need to make an informed shopping choice but if you have any questions regarding our products - then please give us a call as we are always happy to guide and advise!
Materials such as stone and timber are natural products in which variations in colour, marking, size and thickness should be expected. The images on our website are intended only to give an indication of appearance, the company cannot be held responsible for the variables in colour, texture and markings that can occur in natural products.
Stone - all natural stone products will vary in colour and marking and this is not a sale by example. As some stone contains fissures and vents as part of their natural feature, the company does not give any express or implied warranty that the goods will correspond in every respect with any description, photograph or sample provided. Natural stone can change colour and appearance over time due to the natural deposits and minerals contained within the stone units. These deposits may not be visible at the time of cutting or, delivery or installation of the natural stone product, and the company accepts no liability for any change in appearance of the natural material caused by the natural properties of the stone supplied.
Timber - wood is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Sometimes these changes may be noticeable in the physical appearance of the product. The company accepts no responsibility for these changes. Wooden products can experience movements and cracks as it adjusts - this is not a fault, but a natural occurrence within the fibres of a natural product. We highly recommend that any timber being purchased for internal use, is first dried and acclimated gently to its surroundings to reduce splitting, twisting and warping of the material.
Where the company specifies the size of the goods, a tolerance of +/- 5 millimetres shall be deemed to have been incorporated into any description supplied.
Reclaimed items - many of our products are reclaimed and will show signs of use, age, dints, marks, scratches, scuffs cracks etc which all contribute in the creation of a completely unique character.
Due to the nature of our products, we cannot offer returns or refunds on the following ranges: timber, porcelain, stone, reclamation, bespoke items. Any arrangement for the return of such items will be done at the business’ sole discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee.
Goods outside of these product ranges may be returned at the customers own cost and transport risk for a refund providing the product(s) are unused and in their original packaging. The restocking charge for returned items is 25% of the full invoiced amount and if the product was delivered on a pallet, an admin fee of £120+ VAT will be applicable in addition to the 25%. A return form must be requested from our online team prior to sending anything to us. No goods are accepted for return after 14 days.
Refunds will only be paid once the returned goods have been inspected and after deduction of any restocking charges have been made. Refunds will be made within 7-14 days after being approved.
We aim to deliver all orders within 3 - 10 working days, however this may be subject to change due to stock availability or if any additional security checks are required. We do as much as possible to ensure that products are delivered to you within this timeframe. However, South Planks Ltd is not liable for any delays.
Due to their size and weight, some of our products will be delivered on pallets. These deliveries are ‘kerbside’, meaning that the driver will not be able to move these goods onto or into your property. Smaller products will be delivered via a courier service.
Please do not book any fitters or installers for your goods until after they have been delivered and inspected by yourself - we will not take any responsibility for any costs incurred as a result of arranging this in advance of delivery.
South Planks Ltd is not liable for any lost profits or business interruption that may have directly, indirectly or incidentally arisen from a delivery delay of the order.
We will charge a redelivery fee if no one is available on site to take delivery of the goods.
Prior to dispatch, South Planks must be made aware of any restrictions that may affect the delivery in any way, such as weight limits, access limitations or pedestrianised zones.
All goods collected or received must be checked immediately on receipt. Any damage, faults, shortages or discrepancies must be notified to us within 24 hours of receipt of goods. Signing a carrier's delivery note ‘un-checked’ does not absolve the persons receiving the goods from this condition.
When choosing to collect in store, either in person or with a 3rd party courier, the date must be arranged with the company. We will inform you when your order has been picked.
